|For the first time in a few years, a team from Eastbourne and Wealden have got through to the South East Finals of the Young Enterprise Company Programme to be held this year in the HG Wells Conference Centre at Woking on 5 June.
Unum, from Eastbourne College, have demonstrated their innovation, tenacity and excellent business skills gained from the programme and will be competing with nine other teams from Hampshire, Channel Islands, Surrey, Kent as well as the other
Sussex finalist, Tok, from Hurstpierpoint College.
The strong message from many of the companies in this final is cutting back on single use plastics by having reusable products or recycling materials for products.
The winner of this heat will go through to the national final to be held in London in July.
Good luck Unum we will be rooting for you. You should be very proud of yourselves as competition has been fierce this year and any team that reaches this stage is a solid winner.
Do join us for the Thank You Event on 11 June
|If you are interested in Young Enterprise and are considering how the Company Programme or other day programmes might help schools meet the Gatsby Standards as these are now very much a part of the Ofsted inspection, do join us and see how this can work for you with just a little input from the school.
Similarly, if you wish to familiarise yourself with the programme and its impact on young people, this event will give you an opportunity to meet some of the students who have participated this year and hear their experiences.
The event will be from 5.30pm to 7pm on Tuesday, 11 June at Eastbourne Town Hall. Please let Matt Ryan know you wish to attend, for catering purposes, by Friday 7 June by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 07867 001515.
